How it works

  1. 1

    Download the template

Grab the sample Excel file from the Import page. Headers are S.No, Weight, then one column per country.

  2. 2

    Fill in your rates

Each row is a weight bracket; each country column holds the price for that bracket. Add as many countries and weights as you need.

  3. 3

    Upload & sync

Drop the file into RateJet and click Sync. Countries with matching rates are grouped into zones and written to your shipping profile.

  4. 4

    Optional: fuel surcharge

Enable a percentage and/or fixed markup on the Fuel surcharge page — it's baked into every rate on the next import.

Features

Bulk Excel import

Upload your carrier's weight × country rate card once — every zone and rate lands in Shopify in a single sync.

Smart zone grouping

Countries that share identical rates are automatically combined into one shipping zone, keeping your settings tidy.

Weight brackets

Each weight row in your sheet becomes a weight-based shipping method, with brackets that never overlap.

Fuel surcharge

Mark every rate up by a percentage, a fixed amount, or both — set it once and it's applied on every import.

Ready-made template

Download a sample Excel file from inside the app, replace the prices, and you're ready to import.

No customer data

RateJet only touches your shipping settings. It never reads customers, orders, or checkout data.

Fuel surcharge, done for you

Carriers add fuel surcharges — your store should too. Set a percentage, a fixed amount per shipment, or both, and RateJet applies it to every rate as it imports.

Base rate$10.00
+ 10% fuel surcharge$1.00
+ fixed per shipment$2.50
Synced rate$13.50

Common questions

What file format does RateJet accept?

Excel files (.xlsx or .xls) with headers S.No, Weight, then one column per country. A ready-made template is available inside the app.

Does importing overwrite my existing zones?

Yes — each import replaces the international zones in your General shipping profile with the rows in your file, so the sheet is always the source of truth. Local zones are kept.

What currency are rates uploaded in?

Rates are pushed in USD exactly as entered in your sheet. On multi-currency stores, Shopify converts to each buyer's local currency at checkout.
